Chakra Balance is unlike anything I have previously heard from David and Steve Gordon. The CD is decidedly more ambient and textural in nature yet still fits in nicely with their canon of work. Divided into two parts, each half contains tracks meant to align with the seven chakras. While technically the album presents a mixture of guitars, keyboards, and flutes, the real key here is the sound design which fashions the musical instruments (through studio wizardry) into cohesive ear-pleasing, soothing tone and drone pieces.
